Costumbre

We Filipinos have a lot of beliefs whether it's family practice or traditionally bequeathed by our ancestors. Costumbre a Spanish word that means custom, habit or practice.

I grew in a traditional family where everything were aligned to a belief that should be followed and it has been mapped to their tongue the things that must be kept without any second thoughts of what might happen because they are the one who knew best.

As a liberated and broad-minded person, I already have a choice and filter all the customs that I strongly believe. I've grown enough. I am self-actualized now. I already leave all of those to Gypsies and move on with what is acceptable.
